Coming to webrznru
Written for the person in the waiting room, not for the practice: what happens, in what order, what it will cost you in time, and who to call when we are closed.
Before, during and after#
What happens, and how long it takes
Documents, history, medication, forms
In ordinary words, not clinical ones
Preparing, and the days afterwards
What you pay, when, and to whom
When we are closed
Who sees what, and how to get a copy
Steps, doors, chairs, parking
Waiting times, cancellations, second opinions
This site is information about our practice, not medical advice, and nothing on it is a substitute for being seen. In an emergency, call the emergency number on Out of hours and emergencies or your local emergency services immediately.
What we will always do#
Tell you what we found, what the options are, what each one involves and what each one costs, before anything is started. If we recommend something, we will also tell you what happens if you do nothing — that is part of the information, not an argument against the recommendation.
What we ask of you#
Tell us your full history, including the parts that feel embarrassing or irrelevant, and the medication you are actually taking rather than the medication you were prescribed. Almost everything that goes wrong clinically starts with something nobody mentioned.
Bringing somebody with you#
You are welcome to bring somebody to any appointment, and to ask them to stay in the room. Two people remember an explanation much better than one.
